Brilliant work. This is a beautiful form, and despite it's initial appearance of extreme simplicity, you can see all these marks which give this thing so much character and depth. The setting you've placed this in, I think, enhances the effect this object has on the viewer as well.
Oooh, what a beautiful organic form. I think I'm in love... :+favlove:
:sun:
you must be familiar with henry moore, right? i was just looking at a monograph of his work, this reminds me alot of it. its funny, though, i never saw anything by him in wood. some stuff in stone, but never wood. very nice work.
Great one, it's beautiful in its false simplicity. It seems an basic shape, but I like the complex lighting it generates. Shadow and light give it a great texture. Well done!

It makes me think of the elephant man, suffering under the weight of his own flesh.
oh, wow. this is nice. indicative of something primitive and beautiful. i'd like to think that there's a bone inside me warped like this.
That's pretty cool:)

i wonder the same thing. they have all sorts of stupid sectons for stuff but no sculpture section, its frustrateing.
anyway, this is a very nice peice. the texture on it is very nice. the form makes it seem elegent and sturdy at the same time.
It looks like a bone that has somehow become it's own freestanding self, rather than a component. Their really should be a sculpture and installation section.
